Merging Brazilian Inspiration a Designer Approach

Modalle Móveis shines at ICFF 2024 with new sustainable collections

27/05/2024 – Celebrating its 14th anniversaryModalle Móveis, the Brazilian luxury outdoor furniture manufacturer, is exhibiting at the prestigious ICFF 2024 for the third consecutive year. With new collections and a continued focus on sustainability, this edition also marks the debut of Modalle’s collaboration with Brazilian architect Jayme Bernardo, known for his luxury projects both in Brazil and abroad.

Modalle Móveis’ philosophy of “Design to Live Together” is reflected in creations that combine aesthetics, function and sustainability. The brand’s commitment to design and the environment has not gone unnoticed; it was awarded the “Best Outdoor Booth” by the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) at ICFF 2022.

This year, Modalle continues to set high standards with its Alma Collection inspired by Brazilian poet Vinicius de Moraes. The line emphasises conviviality, well-being, comfort and naturalness. With designs that combine modern aesthetics with traditional craft, the Alma Collection merges Modalle’s authorial, Brazilian and universal DNA.

Building on its success at Salone del Mobile.Milano, Modalle Móveis presents the Dolce Far Niente Collection by Jayme Bernardo under his DIEEDRO label. The minimalist modular system of outdoor sofas has an aluminium structure and backs made of braided nautical rope and also includes the celestial-inspired Stella Coffee Table with a teak base and a 15mm glass top.

“Our Collection was created to be another excuse for a break, a space to really do nothing, live in the moment, see beauty in simplicity, understand that just as necessary as doing everything is giving yourself time to rest. It’s okay to do nothing today. Take a break, take the day to do something that gives you pleasure, without guilt. There is a difference between being unproductive, procrastinating and appreciating the good moments in life,” explains the designer.

The Lagoon Modular Collection integrates technology into its design, with tables equipped with induction chargers. This range embodies the principles of connectivity and integration, enhancing the functionality of outdoor spaces. Its natural, amorphous shapes, inspired by the organic design of lakes, offer a fluid and comfortable seating experience.

Emphasising modern femininity, Marta Manente’s Perlage Collection includes the Perlage Chair, which celebrates refined craft and aesthetics, and the Perlage Swing, whose intricate design adds a playful element.Newton Lima’s Sema Collection features lamps made of nautical rope and aluminium, highlighting artisanal excellence and bringing the essence of a joyful journey into the home.

The Ânima table set, designed by Studio Razzera, blends concrete and glass in a play of lightness and fluidity – an example of the integration of modern materials with timeless design.

Combining aluminium and teak to create a versatile piece that can be used as a room divider or to display decorative objects, The Tall Bookshelf, designed by Victor Leite, is characterised by its durable construction.

One of the outstanding features of Modalle’s new range is the use of sustainable materials. The Baeza Knit armchair, designed by Ibanez Razzera, features a high-tech knit fabric made from recycled ocean plastic. This innovative material offers durability and a soft, sophisticated texture. The Baeza Knit Armchair is a finalist for the Salão de Gramado Award in the Sustainable Design category.

Modalle Móveis has always prioritised sustainability. The company’s commitment is evident in its use of renewable and recycled materials. Knitted fabric made from marine plastic and 100% recyclable aluminium are critical components of its products. Modalle also donates leftover fabric to charity, promoting environmentally friendly practices and social responsibility.
